Ep. 4 - The Well of Light

Let me preface my review by stating that I watched this episode on my TV that has been taken over by aliens... the picture is all F'ed up and I could not see clearly everything the whole time.
That being said... awesome episode! Lots of new and interesting reveals.

The episode opens with Sun implying that after she gets rid of Ben, she will be bringing Aaron back to Korea to be her daughter's playmate. Whoa, Sun what are you up to? Gonna get Kate out of the picture too?

We hear the broadcast of the numbers and find out that Rousseau arrived on the island in 1988. Her husband? is Robert, but who is he really? Some have said that the voice on the recording sounds an awful lot like Hurley, which would make sense but somehow I doubt it's him.

A Frenchie named Nadine goes missing and hey it's the return of the Smoke Monster... holy shit! That guy just got his arm ripped off! Awesome! Totally Awesome. That beats Sayid's kitchen knives to the back routine easily. But methinks that someone is controlling it, the way Ben did at the end of last season when he disappeared into the back room and came back with black soot all over his hands.

We see where Rousseau got her famous rifle she's been toting around forever.
Jim jumps through time, but not the Frenchies, interesting. Ultimately he catches up with Sawyer and the gang in the "present" or "past" or past participle, I don't know.

Best line of the night, possibly the series: Jin speaking in Korean, Sawyer turns to Miles to translate...
Miles, "He's Korean, I'm from Encino." I'M FROM ENCINO!!! I love it!

Charlotte knows Korean? She also says she knows Klingon. A nice nod to J.J. Abrams, who is the director of the upcoming Star Trek movie.

Down goes Charlotte! Is there a three-knockdown rule in effect on the island? She starts speaking in toungues or at least regressing to childhood/former life and babbling about Hannibal etc. She tells Jin, "Don't let them bring her (Sun) back! This place is death." Whoa nelly.

There's definitely going to be a revelation about the whole babies being born on the island thing. I mean, when Ben says to Kate "Aaron is not your baby." Is he implying it's the island's baby?

Speaking of which, where the hell is Claire?

Great moment back in the van in LA, Sun and Jack are debating who will kill Ben if he pulls a fast one, when suddenly Ben slams on the brakes and admonishes them, "I'm helping you and your friends, so if you want to shoot me go ahead." Ben don't take no shit. Great exchange:
Sun, "You said it would take half an hour to get there."
Ben, "I didn't take into account the traffic."
That's such an LA insider line and the reason why I left LA... I hate the traffic.

We discover that Charlotte was born on the island, moved to England and has been searching for it ever since. However she claims that a scary man told her never to come back otherwise she would die and that that man is Faraday... whoops. And there she goes. I will miss her beautiful red hair and blue eyes... farewell my lovely.

Locke goes into the well of light falls, snaps his leg and the rest of the Losties are left holding the rope to a sealed hole.

Locke is greeted by Christian Shepard, who is "there to help you the rest of the way." He tells him that he must find Eloise Hawking (a nod to Stephen Hawking?) the woman in LA who will help him get back with the rest of the O6. We discover that the island is flashing because after Ben turned it, it slipped off it's access. So because that wheel had been frozen for so long, that's why the island was stable all those years. But what the hell is it connected to that makes the island skip through time?

Oh, hello Desmond welcome back. "So you're here to find Daniel Faraday's mother too?"

Once again Ben manipulated the truth about Jin and the wedding ring to convince Sun to go back. Despite Jin's insistance Locke does not let her come back.

And Ben only brought back some of the O6, not all of them, so what will happen?

By the time this episode was over I think I slipped into another dimension, my damn TV is giving me seizures from all the flashing and I don't mean in the show.
